Kramer Place Condominiums
Italian Village, Columbus, Ohio

A 46-unit mixed-use retail and residentail condominium, Kramer Place acts as an architectural transition from the boxy industrial buildings to its south, to the residential-scaled buildings to its north. Utility-sized brick and large banks of square windows, emulate the factories and manufacturing plants that stood in the area for over 100 years. The northern portion of the building has lower sloped roofs, dormers, lighter colored brick and accent bands which effectively relate to the residential scale of the neighborhood. By combining a variety of materials, textures, details and fenestration, the architecture of Kramer Place Condominiums weaves together industrywith artistry, the past with the present.
